About Coldharbour
Coldharbour is a community of alumni and supporters of the University of the West of England Boat Club.
Founded in 2006, it exists to keep people connected to UWE rowing beyond university – supporting alumni, the current squad, and the long-term future of the club.
Our mission
To engage and unite alumni of UWE Boat Club through Coldharbour, fostering a lifelong community that supports current students, sustains club traditions, and provides a way for people to stay involved in the community beyond university.
We do this through events, mentoring, fundraising, coaching support, and opportunities to row through Coldharbour.
Our vision
A thriving, multi-generational alumni community that helps sustain and strengthen rowing at UWE.
We want Coldharbour to be a lasting bridge between past and present members of the club – supporting students, reconnecting alumni, and keeping the spirit of UWEBC alive beyond graduation.

Supporting the wider crew
Coldharbour exists to extend the impact of UWE Boat Club beyond university, connecting alumni with the current squad in meaningful ways.
Our network spans industries, disciplines and experiences, creating opportunities for students and recent graduates to access guidance, insight and support from those who have been in their position before.
Whether through informal conversations, structured mentoring or shared events, we aim to create a bridge between past and present, helping athletes navigate what comes next, both on and off the water.
As the network grows, so does its value, strengthening the club’s future while maintaining a lasting connection to its past.
